09 July, 2009 Damn Tiring

It has been a tiring fortnight for me lately as I was so concentrated on both of my jobs and also saving up. I intend to get certain things done as I wish to sit for my SATs than take my degree part-time so that I could leave singapore as soon as possible. Life here is not what it really seems to me and many people I come across with especially foreigners say that you can never enjoy life in singapore as you always have to worry about MONEY.

I do agree with what many have said, to fulfill dreams to come true, we have to go abroad. I have been hesitating for a long time now. Once the economy has settle down, I am thinking on sailing on a vessel so that I could see more of the world than I am here. Alot of friends have told me to settle down as I am no longer young but I told them I have not met the right woman yet. So I think its time to extend my horizons, hey having a south american chic would be great as they are hot especially the latinos, senoritas and more. haha!!!! Ok I need to get some things done now so I will come back later and write more on things.

01 July, 2009 Being backstabbed

Well lately my work at night turned out to be a disaster. There is this young boy Nitty who is close to me like a younger brother as he is only 20years old. He called me and told me that one of our colleagues have back stabbed me. Nitty told me that I have been nice to all of them, never venting my anger to anyone and also at times I always buy breakfast in the morning for them but yet I have been complained upon.

I told Nitty that this matter could be resolved. Meaning I just dont entertain that particular colleague of mine. I never expected he would be a 2-face-imbecile. Ah well there goes another friend from my list.

Ok, today I will not be going to work at night as I have not enough rest so I told one of the guys to look after the ship for me. What I need is a good rest now.

Lately I have been meeting Brenda for lunch but hey dont get the wrong thinking as she is married, we are just friends. She works at the doctor's clinic near my place. We have been chatting alot lately. She is 34years old but she looks more like 29 to me. Anyway I was also thinking of bringing her along for Perlin's birthday but have no idea yet.

Ok I will end here for now and go watch some shows before I turn in to bed soon.

Conversation with mum

On Sunday, I was sitting down and I chatted with mum. She asked me so many questions. Firstly she asked me how was Ken and Claus. I told her that Claus has when back to Denmark and started a new job there as he was tired of Singapore and the things that is happening here. As for Ken, he is awaiting for the arrival of his girlfriend from China. He hardly goes out nowadays as he prefers to stay at home. I will be intending to call Ken out for some coffee some time soon when work is more relax.e

Next my mum asked me about Pauline, as she did not see Pauline for a long time. Pauline is a tutor in Yishun at one of a center. Well I told her that Pauline is attach and is busy with her life that she has no time for anything else. So I hardly contact her for some time already.

Than there is Debbie whom my mum met in MSN chat who is in UK. I told her that Debbie is doing fine and its been a while since I was on the chatline to do a video chat with her, but we do talk from time to time to see how things are going. I was planning on bringing Debbie here during the November/December holidays. I told my mum that when I go online I will let her talk to Debbie for a moment.

My mum says that my brother has moved out from the home and is staying somewhere else. Moreover he did not let her know where he is putting up. Sigh, sometimes I wish my brother would grow up and look at the changes around.

Than mum asked me to go to overseas and look for another better job and stay there. I told her that I dont intend to leave now as there will be no one here to look after her if things go wrong. She smiled at me. I have so many times wanted to leave singapore but due to my mum, I did not wanna go. Mum also asked me how is Perlin as she has not seen her for some time now. I told her that Perlin has been busy with things and moreover her birthday is coming up soon. Gracie will be accompanying me to Perlin's birthday at Suntec. Mum also asked me what happened to Gary. I did not wanna tell her much so I told her I did not see him nor hear from him. Gary has been a jackass for far too long and it was time that my friendship with him ended. That is something that I dont wanna let me mum know about as you see we are neighbours.

Now she also asked me about my 2 jobs, she wanted me to quit 1 of the jobs and concentrate more on my life. She also wants me to get attach and married. But I told her that I have not met that someone special yet. Maybe who knows, I might not get married.Haha......Well all of it depends on GOD.

A Singer and An Actor have passed on

Recently in the news 2 famous persons have died. Those of you who were in the 70's era would remember the time when Charlie's Angels were famous with the gorgeous women. One of the women was Farah Fawcett. Here is more details on her:

Friends and family announced yesterday that Farrah Fawcett, the shimmering actress who became one of greatest sex symbols of her generation, had died in a Los Angeles hospital, ending a three-year battle against the cancer she dubbed her "terrorist".

A statement from her longstanding companion, actor Ryan O'Neal, spoke of the bravery with which the 62-year-old star faced her final illness, taking to the airwaves in order to draw attention to her painful struggle, in a moving television documentary called Farrah's Story.

Fawcett recently announced her intention to finally marry O'Neal, who had been her on-off partner for more than two decades. However she never had time to make the final, defiant gesture against a disease that had left her feeling "like a blonde nothingness".

"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away," said O'Neal, who was at her bedside when she died. "Although this is an extremely difficult time for family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times we shared over the years, and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

In her final, two-hour documentary, Fawcett charted every stage of her decline from the anal cancer, which was first diagnosed in 2006 and later spread to her liver. Despite often being shown in extreme pain, she always maintained a sense of humour, tearfully telling doctors "You wouldn't stop until you got my hair," as they shaved her scalp.

Fawcett's blonde locks had famously catapulted her to fame during the 1970s, when she was spotted by a Hollywood talent agent in a student magazine feature about the "10 most beautiful co-eds" at the University of Texas in Austin, where she was studying.

After moving to Los Angeles, she began modelling and in 1975 posed for the poster that would turn her into an international icon. It showed her in a one-piece red swimsuit, beaming pneumatically in a gesture that managed to capture the spirit of both the sexual revolution and the Californian lifestyle.

The poster sold more than eight million copies, and brought her to the attention of television producer Aaron Spelling, who cast her as one of the crime-fighting protagonists of Charlie's Angels. That role would, for better and worse, define her acting career.

Fawcett became a fixture on the show-business circuit, and helped sell T-shirts, lunch boxes, shampoo, wigs and even a novelty plumbing device called "Farrah's faucet." For a time, she also formed part of a famous Hollywood marriage with Lee Majors, the star of The Six Million Dollar Man, though the couple separated in 1979.

She was nominated for two Emmys and five Golden Globes, winning particular praise when she played an abused wife in The Burning Bed. However, Fawcett's celebrity wattage would – perhaps unfairly – often eclipse her standing as an actress.

In one typical public controversy, she caused an enormous stir by agreeing to pose for Playboy in 1995. Despite her sex-symbol status, she had famously always refused to appear naked in films or magazines.

Her personal life, and particularly her tumultuous relationship with O'Neal – which began in 1980 – was constantly followed by the tabloids. A rambling 1997 interview with David Letterman, at the time of one of their periodic break-ups, fuelled speculation that she might be having a breakdown.

Although Fawcett suffered tabloid intrusion at the start of her illness, when employees of a Los Angeles hospital leaked her medical records, she was later able to use her status as a pop culture icon to her advantage.

Farrah's Story, which was broadcast around the world in May, allowed her to make an impassioned plea for the US government to reform its dysfunctional healthcare system and modernise cancer screening.

Announcing her death, Fawcett's publicist, Allen Miller, left a tribute on the actress's official website. "I am sorry to say our Farrah has passed to a better place and left the pain and confines of her bed behind," it read. "She is free to be the woman we all knew and loved; so few have touched so many."

Next we have the famous singer also known as the King of Pop, yes it is my friends, Michael Jackson also had to pass on. Here are more insides to the story:

MICHAEL Jackson has died after suffering what is believed to have been a cardiac arrest in Los Angeles.

The singer, 50, was pronounced dead soon after he arrived at an LA hospital.

The LA Coroner has confirmed his death.

Lieutenant Fred Corral told CNN Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26pm (7.26am) local time after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest, but not a heart attack.

"I can tell you at this time that we were notified by West Los Angeles Police Department detectives that Mr Jackson was transported ... to the hospital, and upon admitting, he was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at approximately 2:26 this afternoon," Corral told CNN.

Corral said an autopsy would "most likely" be carried out tomorrow but would not speculate on the exact cause of death.

"Everything is still ongoing. We will be responding to the hospital to move Mr Jackson to our facility where he will be examined to determine the cause of death," Corral said.

"At that point, as I said, there's no further medical history until we get and review the medical records."

Jackson, who had been preparing for his comeback tour, was rushed to the UCLA Medical Centre shortly before 12.30pm local time.

Paramedics received a 911 call directing them to the Bel Air home, off Sunset Boulevard, which Jackson rented for $100,000 a month.

Fire Department Captain Steve Ruda told US media Jackson was not breathing when they arrived. Mr Ruda said they received him at about 12.21pm.

When they arrived, they performed CPR and rushed Jackson to the medical centre, about a six-minute drive away.

Brian Oxman, a Jackson family attorney, said he was told by brother Randy Jackson that Michael Jackson had collapsed at his home in west Los Angeles.

Family members were told of the situation and were either at the hospital or en route, Oxman said.

His sister La Toya was seen rushing to the medical centre in tears.

The Los Angeles Times and CBS reported that Jackson arrived in a deep coma and was pronounced dead soon afterwards.

His dad Joe Jackson was shocked and confused after learning his son had been hospitalised.

"His mother is on her way to the hospital now," Joe Jackson said.

Police officers cordoned off the road outside Jackson's Bel Air home yesterday as fans swamped the UCLA Medical Centre.

Michael is survived by three children _ Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

The seventh of nine children, Jackson was born in Indiana before moving to LA with his family where he became the star of the Jackson 5.

Watch the unfolding scene live at the hospital where Michael Jackson died

The artist behind the biggest-selling album of all time, Thriller, Jackson was attempting a comeback after years of headlines about his child molestation charges (he was acquitted) to his plastic surgery and his habit of wearing face masks.

He had been scheduled to perform 50 sell-out concerts at London's 02 arena from next week to March 2010.

Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 as a member of the Jackson 5 with his brothers.

The group had a number of hits on Motown in the 1970s.

Five of his solo albums are some of the top-selling albums of all time: "Off the Wall," 1982's "Thriller," "Bad," "Dangerous" and "HISstory."

He was twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and had 13 Grammy awards and 13 number one singles.

He has sold over 750 million albums worldwide.

His total earnings have been estimated at $500 million dollars. His music videos on MTV, such as "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" were some of the most influential early music videos, and his sound influenced numerous hip hop and R&B artists.

He was tried and acquitted of sexual abuse allegations in 2005.

He married nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe in Sydney, with whom he fathered a son, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr, also known as Prince, and a daughter, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson.

After they divorced in 1999, he retained full custody of the children.

In the early 1990s, he was briefly married to Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley.

He lived at Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara from 1988 to 2005.

It was sold to Colony Capital, although he still owns a stake in the property.

To celebrate his 50th birthday, Sony BMG released a compilation album, "King of Pop," in various countries, but it was not released in the US.

The Los Angeles Times reported Jackson's condition had died after going into a deep coma.

In recent months, Jackson had been trying to revive his flagging career which crashed after he faced child-sex charges - allegations he eventually beat in court.

As the first step in this comeback, the singer had been due to play 50 sell-out shows at London's O2 Arena starting in July.

But the King of Pop had already postponed the first few nights' shows amid claims he was suffering health problems.

The Daily Mail in London reported organisers AEG Live said this was in order to make sure everything for the "massive and technically complex show" was running smoothly.

But critics say ongoing concerns about Jackson's health were the real reason behind the gigs having to be postponed.

Earlier this year, Jackson was seen emerging from a doctors three times in one week amid rumours that he was battling skin cancer.

The claims were denied by his representatives.

Jackson has not been on tour for more than a decade, but the concerts at the O2 were seen as his final comeback before finally retiring from music.

In later years, Jackson - whose personal life and sexual preferences remained somewhat mysterious - was plagued by child-sex allegations.

He was accused of molesting an American boy Jordan Chandler after befriending his father early in the 1990s and reportedly settled for $US30million for the allegations to go away and avoid possible charges.

But in 2003, Jackson faced new child-sex allegations that he abused a teenage boy he had also befriended during sleepovers. The singer ended up facing seven sex charges in court but was acquitted.

The paedophile image, however, did enormous damage to his career and Jackson became a virtual recluse, with his behaviour increasingly weird and reports that his financial position was becoming dire due to bad investments, skyrocketing legal bills and a public turned against him.
