UNITED BENETTON of COLORS
UNITED BENETTON of COLORS
24 October, 2008 As the days passed

As the days pass, alot of things have been on my mind lately.Going to the states is something which I long for. Now I have to get my priorities right and do it. Some people who I have met a couple of times have asked me why am I not married. The question to that answer lies with I have not met the right one as the ones that I have chosen in the past were a big mistake in fulfilling my dreams. Some people could walk away from problems and mistakes they make but they dont realize the sins they carry with them. Many a times I have tried to make things right but at some point certain things are hopeless as there are those who dont see the truth. As long as there is no justification done nor a soul that was hurt I am glad that I dont have to live with a guilty conscience.

For many I have been with I have come to realize that this couple of years have been wasted for what I wanted things to work out to be. Now I take each day as it comes and just strive to do better in the business as well as complete my studies. Earning more than 3k plus a month is something that is not normal to me but now I know where I should keep those money and use it wisely. I have stop believing too much about love as it is not true especially when the people around you seem so fake unless it is your closest frens who understand you better. I remembered I was once in a relationship with a woman and her 2 kids, it did change me alot in showing that I could be a good father and husband but due to the ignorance of others not learning their mistakes, things got worse. I guess they say those who are really not educated to not know the fundamental points of values and principles. Yeah I do think of the kids at times but what could I say or do. She prefers to be from one person to another only expecting for herself. At times my mum do ask me whether I still keep in touch with her but I said no. And further more I have stop believing too much in anything or anyone as I find that it is not easy to trust anyone tis days. Time will come for me when I have make things work out.

My mum is also not feeling too well tis days as she is growing old and I will be getting a maid soon to look after and help her out. As far as I am concern I dont care what others say anymore as I realise they talk more than do any action. Now I only be with certain frens from time to time and also with my design work almost coming to a finish I hope my clients will be pleased in what I have to offer. Right now my job is the only things that will keep me busy as I really cant find the time for anyone. Its just wasted time on wasted people. Especially those that are from my previous company. Here I end for the nite and get back to bed as I need to do alot of things later in the day as I will be going overseas in a couple of days to get a project underway.

20 October, 2008 Great Weekend

On Saturday night Gary and me together with Wati met Perlin, Serene and Perlin's friends went to St.James. Gary's frens met us there. I was hoping from Powerhouse, Dragonfly, Broiler's and the other 2 clubs. Did enjoy myself in certain ways but was really not in the mood for clubbing as it is so different to me from the time when I was younger. Gary went home about 0130hrs together with his frens as for me and Perlin stayed till about 0430hrs. Together with Serene and Joanne we took a cab and head back home. All of us stay in Bt.Batok so it was convenient for us. We dropped Joanne off at her place while the rest of us went for supper. After supper was close to 0600hrs. We headed back. Got home was so tired.Set the alarm clock to 1300hrs and went to bed.

Got up on Sunday and went to church. Sat there for a while thinking about a lot of things. Than I told myself that it is time to follow my dreams now as I just do not want to delay anymore. Those that who are not close to me, I just dont bother too much.Concentrate on the daily needs and get the things done and when the time comes to live for the states, I just leave everything behind and head there. I just dont wanna keep on waiting anymore.

Today, did nothing much but concentrate on a couple of important things that I need to complete so that it will make my life a little simplier than it seems.Than something came in my mind and I say "All good things must come to an end."

18 October, 2008 The plans for the week

Today I went to see my doctor to get the medication for the rashes and he issued me something which was stronger than what Alice use to get me. After which me and Gary drove down to Shaw and watch a movie, I called Fiona and asked her how was she since I was in the neighborhood, she told me that she was not in the office on Fridays so she could not meet up with me. Gary and me booked tickets for the movie "Max Payne" and it was really a nice movie. The cinema was not so crowded as we watched the 1700hr show. It was freezing cold in there. After the movie we went for dinner at Newton. We really had a big dinner there. We also talked things out about the future and how things were gonna be. He was sorry to know what had happened, I told him the facts about all of it and he told me not to bother too much about it and concentrate on my next issues which I am matured enough to handle. So after dinner, I went back home with him, as I drove along Bukit Timah, there was a heavy jam there, but all in all we manage to get home in time. We wanted to go down to St. James but the other friends told us to make it tomorrow nite which I dont think I would wanna go.

At home I was looking through the internet and I have decided to upgrade my computer to windows xp 64 bit which is faster and quite secured. As you can see it is already 2 am in the morning and I could not sleep much lately due to many things that have happened. Some people could sleep and get over the mistakes that they have done and could not get over the guilty feeling by saying that they could. Well people who have no pride nor dignity will always end up losing no matter what the outcome is as they could not come to face the facts of reality in any issues given to them. I too do not like a person who thinks that everything is right and by solving a problem that is the only solution, as to what I know behind every problem there is a solution but it all depends on what that solution is. In some ways I am glad that I was born a catholic to know that we do not force others to believe until they have the faith to believe. You could not force a person to believe in GOD if he has no faith till the day he finds it. God too knows that the faith of the himan being is limited in many ways and they say things out of desire to say them but when the fear has been instilled in them by the Almighty, he will be judge on " JUDGEMENT DAY."

So here I say a prayer before I turn into bed:
Our father who hath in heaven.Hallowed be thy name,Thy kingdom come,Thy world be done on earth as it is in heaven.Give us tis day our daily bread,And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Exploring Windows XP Professional x64 Edition

Microsoft publicly released Windows XP Professional x64 Edition on April 30, 2005. This version of Windows XP Professional is the first designed specifically to work with x64 PCs. Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, a high-performance platform, brings benefits to customers who work in technical fields such as automobile and airplane design, computational fluid dynamics, and scientific visualization. Digital content creators, including 3-D animators, digital artists, and game developers will also welcome the large amounts of memory and performance improvements that make their 64-bit applications run faster and more efficiently. And enthusiasts who edit a large of amount of photos, video, or music files will benefit from the additional memory and processing capability.

In this column, I'll give you an overview of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. I'll describe what hardware and software it supports and point out the kind of customer who'll get the most from the new OS version.

What is x64?

The term x64 is used to describe the 64-bit architecture developed by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Intel to provide processors that are highly compatible with the x86 processors that have been the mainstay of personal computing. The x64 architecture, when combined with Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, can run the thousands of 32-bit programs available today. The x64 architecture also lets a developer enter whole new areas with the advanced capabilities that 64-bit processing makes possible.

The biggest difference between x64 and other 64-bit processors is that x64 processors are compatible at the hardware level with 32-bit, x86 processors. There are currently two basic x64 processor families:

AMD's amd64

Intel's EM64T

From AMD, this includes the Athlon 64, Athlon 64 FX, Mobile Athlon 64, Turion 64, and Opteron processors. From Intel, this includes the Xeon with EM64T and Pentium 4 with EM64T processors. The two architectures are binary compatible, allowing Windows XP Professional x64 Edition to use a single version to support both.

Description of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition

Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is a near feature-complete version of Windows XP Professional that runs on x64 processors. Windows XP Professional x64 Edition supports 128 GB of RAM and 16 terabytes of virtual memory address space, as compared to 4 GB of both physical RAM and virtual memory address space for 32-bit Windows XP Professional.

Windows XP Professional x64 Edition runs 32-bit applications in the Windows on Windows 64 (WOW64) subsystem providing compatibility with the more than 10,000 existing 32-bit Windows applications while enabling new 64-bit applications.

How to obtain Windows XP Professional x64 Edition

Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is only available from Microsoft manufacturer partners—such as Dell, HP, and IBM—as part of a new computer. There isn't a stand-alone retail version. System builders will offer the new version of the OS with new systems or, for customers who build their own computers, with a qualifying hardware purchase. An MSDN version is available to developers.

If you've already bought x64-capable hardware that you're using to run 32-bit Windows XP Professional, you'll have the option to trade in that copy of Windows XP Professional for a copy of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. Check the Technology Advancement Program to find more information about this program.

Whatever version of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition you use, however, it will only be available as a fresh install. There is no provision for an upgrade from Windows XP Professional. If you're running Windows XP Home Edition and have x64 hardware, you can move to Windows XP Professional x64 Edition when it's available. But you'll need to upgrade from Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP Professional Edition first.

Running 32-bit applications

32-bit applications running in the WOW64 subsystem provide a highly-compatible, high-performance environment for the thousands of existing 32-bit applications. 32-bit applications are installed into the Program Files (x86) directory structure, and have separate hives in the registry to prevent problems.

Applications running in the WOW64 system on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition each have a full 4 GB of virtual memory space. Applications compiled to take advantage of the /3 GB switch will actually get 4 GB, without constraining the operating system at all, since it is running in the 8 terabytes of virtual address space that Windows XP Professional x64 Edition has for the system processes. This can have a substantial impact on memory-constrained applications, such as computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), even before a 64-bit version of the program is available.

Running 64-bit and 32-bit applications side-by-side

With Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, you can run both 64-bit and 32-bit applications side by side. Your existing 32-bit applications run in WOW64, while the 64-bit applications run natively. This makes it easy to transition to 64-bit applications at your pace—only moving when you're ready. You can even run 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the same application in Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, allowing you to evaluate the new version of an existing application and transition at a controlled pace.

Who is the initial audience?

This release of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is primarily designed for 32-bit system users who are pushing the memory limits of their systems and want the new 64-bit technology to improve their PC or workstation performance. The core audience for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition includes these groups:

Developers

Gamers

Graphics, audio, and media artists

CAD/CAM users

Enthusiasts

I fall under this last one more than any other. I'm moving my main workstation to the new x64 box I built a few months ago. But one of the programs I've seen running on x64 that I find really exciting is SONAR 4, a professional music studio audio-mixing application from Cakewalk. As Ron Kuper, Chief Technical Officer for Cakewalk, discovered when they did an internal port of SONAR 4 to x64, they got a completely unexpected 20-30% performance boost even though SONAR 4 wasn't memory space constrained. But the additional efficiency of the x64 processor architecture, with its additional general purpose and floating point registers, had a significant impact on the speed and responsiveness of SONAR 4.

Making hardware decisions for the future

If you've bought a personal computer in the last few months, you may already have an x64-capable PC, just as I do. So all you need to do is participate in the Technology Advancement Program to get Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and you're ready to go. If you're buying a new desktop computer this year, I wouldn't even consider buying a non-x64 capable version, even if you choose to run 32-bit Windows on it. The cost differential between equivalent PCs is negligible or non-existent, and your new x64 PC will run either version of Windows XP quite well.

If you're buying a new system to run Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, you do need to be careful about the peripherals you choose. As with any new version of an operating system, there are still gaps in the list of supported hardware. New drivers are coming from all the major vendors, but these drivers will undoubtedly focus on only their newest products. And you can't run 32-bit drivers—they will not work.

Key differences

When moving to Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, you need to understand some key differences. The most important is that there is no support for legacy MS-DOS and 16-bit applications. If you have an older application that runs in MS-DOS mode or is a 16-bit application, you shouldn't move to Windows XP Professional x64 Edition until you can either update or replace the application.

Some 32-bit applications have 16-bit installation programs. Many of these will not install on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, since 16-bit applications are not supported. However, some will work because Windows will transparently substitute the 32-bit version of the installer in the background.

Applications that install their own hardware drivers will not work until there is a 64-bit driver available for them. Windows XP Professional x64 Edition doesn't support 32-bit drivers at all.

Extensions to Windows Explorer, for example, menu extensions to the right-click menu in Windows Explorer, must be 64-bit. If they are 32-bit, the application may work, but the Windows Explorer extensions will not be available. This is because any application can be either 32-bit running in WOW64 or 64-bit. But not both. And Windows Explorer is obviously 64-bit. So the application itself will work, but the extensions won't. I really miss the right-click extensions for WinZip, a prime example of this.

All drivers must be 64-bit. There are still quite a few gaps in the list of available drivers but the situation should improve dramatically now that Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is officially launched. If you're buying new hardware, you should definitely make sure that there are x64 drivers available before you buy. And if you're recycling older peripherals to use with your new x64 computer, you'll want to check with the peripheral manufacturer or vendor about available drivers. One site I've found that has been quite helpful in finding drivers for x64 is PlanetAMD.

16 October, 2008 Was shocked to see my mum's reaction

After telling my mum the things that had been happening or had happened, she broke down in tears and asked me why are all these happening.She asked me never to trust anyone that easily anymore. Moreover she never expected things like this would happened as she was really happy for me in the beginning but now she is sad. She told me not to think too much as God will punish those who judge as written in the commandments. As long as I remain true and honest, there is nothing I should fear and she knows I dont fear that easily as my weakness is my anger as I know what I am capable of. As long no one makes me vent my anger,they will not taste :First Blood".

No man will be afraid of fear if their sovereign is step. An honest person will never quit. Only the strong will survive. Things have been ok for me for now and now that I have been concentrating on my work almost for 16hrs a day, I have left alot of things behind and walk away from alot. A grown person who is knowledgeable will have no fear for tomorrow when it comes. I have lost what I treasured the most but it seems that due to stupidity I have come to realise that life goes on.

Still Life With Woodpecker

The bottom line is that (a) people are never perfect, but love can be, (b) that is the one and only way that the mediocre and vile can be transformed, and (c) doing that makes it that. We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of creating the perfect love.

Have you even been in love?

Have you even been in love? Horrible, isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up this whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...

You give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you, or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like "maybe we should just be friends" or "how very perceptive" turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.

WHAT IS LOVE

Love is the only bow on life's dark cloud.
It is the Morning and the Evening Star.
It shines upon the cradle of the babe,
and sheds its radiance upon the quiet tomb.
It is the mother of Art,
inspirer of poet, patriot, and philosopher.
It is the air and light of every heart, builder of every home,
kindler of every fire on every hearth.
It was the first to dream of immortality.
It fills the world with melody,
for Music is the voice of Love.
Love is the magician, the enchanter,
that changes worthless things to joy,
and makes right royal kings and queens of common clay.
It is the perfume of the wondrous flower -- the heart
and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon,
we are less than beasts;
but with it, earth is heaven
and we are gods.

A NEW DAY HAS COME

I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear

So through darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I had it all
But I was waiting for you

Hush now
I see a light in the sky
Oh it's almost blinding me
I can't believe I've been touched by an angel
With love

[Chorus:]
Let the rain come down
And wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul
And drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls
For a new sun
A new day has come
A new day has come

Where it was dark now there's is light
Where there was pain, now there's joy
Where there was weakness, I found my strength
All in the eyes of a boy

Hush now
I see a light in the sky
Oh it's almost blinding me
I can't believe I've been touched by an angel
With love

[Chorus:]

Love is........

Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime,
Therefore, we are saved by hope.
Nothing true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history;
Therefore, we are saved by faith.
Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone.
Therefore, we are saved by love.
No virtuous act is quite a virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as from our own;
Therefore, we are saved by the final form of love which is forgiveness.

Martin Luther King Jr once said:

We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.

THE PASSIONS

Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].

Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.

Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart
Of children in famine, of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.

This has been my life; I found it worth living.

CHAPTER 13 VER 4-8 FROM THE CORINTHIANS

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

ECCLESIASTES

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

The Quote

Free love? As if love is anything but free! Man has bought brains, but all the millions in the world have failed to buy love. Man has subdued bodies, but all the power on earth has been unable to subdue love. Man has conquered whole nations, but all his armies could not conquer love. Man has chained and fettered the spirit, but he has been utterly helpless before love. High on a throne, with all the splendor and pomp his gold can command, man is yet poor and desolate, if love passes him by. And if it stays, the poorest hovel is radiant with warmth, with life and color. Thus love has the magic power to make of a beggar a king. Yes, love is free; it can dwell in no other atmosphere.

A Quote

Your body needs to be held and to hold, to be touched and to touch. None of these needs is to be despised, denied, or repressed. But you have to keep searching for your body's deeper need, the need for genuine love. Every time you are able to go beyond the body's superficial desires for love, you are bringing your body home and moving toward integration and unity.

15 October, 2008 Matter at heart

Matter at heart is something that will always linger on when the feeling is true. This is what I have learned from my past experiences.I was looking forward to 09092009, but now all that hopes and dreams are gone. I have learned not to believe, hope or wish for anything to come anymore. I will just take as each passing day comes and goes. As long in my heart I have not hurt anyone or lied I will just be strong as always not to be defeated by lies or liars.

It is so true that humans have this sense of fear that when they are in the losing end they will gather whoever there to stand by them and help them fight. They cant fight the battle alone as they know they will bound to lose. You see liars never have good memories. Trusting someone has never been my trade but this has been the 3rd time that something has gone so wrong when you trust someone. Now it is not that easy for me to trust nor will it be that easy for me to be open. What my closest frens have told me are so true and now I should it some ways not be that nice of a person to anyone. Respect has to be earned and not given. Some people who think that they are older seems that they are more knowledgeable but in fact they seem to know no shit.

Thinking by acting smart and being cool or if they know tons of people that they feel safe. Well the fact is that when they push someone to an extend it will all be too late when things happen.I now have come to understand which category of people that I will not be able to trust. I have wasted so much time in something I believed in but now I have seen it all. Well I will just take it as it was only for fun, at least I did a couple of workouts. haha. So I never actually lost.

The point here is to understand that if someone or some people dont cherish or treasure what they have till they lose it,they will never learn the true and reality with actual fact. Now my doors will be shut. So people just remember this even your closest fren/lover/bf/gf/family could be yours worst enemy.

Anyway today I hurt myself and my back, hands and legs are bleeding. I was venting my anger out punching on the punching bag for a couple of hours venting out my anger, frustration and sadness.Mum taught I got into a fight. Well I came back and went into my room and sat by the computer. Looking at all the pictures that I treasured the most. Now it will only be memories kept away in the closet. This is what I once said:

Chaste not for beauty
Nor fairness of skin
Look for a heart
That is loyal within
Beauty fades
And skin grows old
A heart that is loyal
Will never turn cold

Here I end the story of my day, till tomorrow comes with something new. Goodnight folks.

What had gone thru this couple of months

Well this couple of months have taught me alot and I have seen alot too. I have met a slut who works in the same office as me who is bumping around secret with certain married guys.I have also met assholes who could really be great liars but when confronted their balls drop. As far as I am concerned this people never existed to me no longer. Worst part meeting a family that talked about converting and being true to GOD. Kiss my arse. Only the Jews are GODS people, the rest queue behind especially those pple who go round bombing cities as if their race are so accepted in any part of the world.

Now I have learned not to be nice anymore to anyone. Have started my own business with a couple of close friends and these couple of days have been making close to about 3 grand already. Haha.....now I feel I will put my potential to use. As far as Singapore women are concern, 95% are lamers...especially the one that I have met. Lucky for me I was not stupid enough like her ex boyfriend who did not know what she did. Haha.....sometimes I think to myself and ask myself how are the kids....how's Alice?Should I call her?......well maybe one day I would.

My new principle:
  1. DONT TRUST
  2. WOMEN COME AND GO (THERE ARE STILL MANY OUT THERE)
  3. CONCENTRATE ON WORK
  4. BUY MY NEW CAR SOON
  5. TAKE A TRIP TO USA TIS DECEMBER WITH MUM
  6. SAVE ENOUGH MONEY
  7. MAKE THE BUSINESS GROW
  8. TELL PEOPLE OFF STRAIGHT IN THE FACE EVEN IF TO EMBARASS THEM IN PUBLIC
